Well, voting has ended in our first poll. 46% of you voted that our baby would arrive before his due date of March 11 (including the 2 votes from his parents), 32% thought he will be late, 14% thought that we'll end up with a child that has a birthday celebrated only once every 4 years, and a mere 7% of you believes he will pop out on March 11...we will know very soon who guessed correctly!!
I'll be posting a new poll shortly, so be sure to vote in that one also.
So tomorrow happens to mark Johanna's last day of classroom teaching for a while...and with that, from what I gather begins the (drumroll please) all-important "nesting phase"?? Now I shall freely admit that this was a completely foreign phrase to me up until a couple months ago. I really could not get the image of a bird out of my head, and to this day, I am still somewhat troubled by it. What is going to happen to my wife in this time that bridges the end of full-time employment to the beginning of another kind of even more full-time employment called motherhood? Is the house going to get "turned upside down" in the next few weeks while I am away working? Someone with knowledge of this situation please answer my questions...I beg you!!

Hey Steve- I have no idea why they call it that, but what happens is the mama bird (Jo) gets ready for her baby to come by cleaning the house, getting the babies room ready, washing the cloths he will wear (use Dreft for laudry detregent), packing her bag for the hospital, doing last minute things that will help Jo's mind be at ease. This is a good time for you to take her out on a date and pamper her. However, she will need times like that after the baby comes as well, even more so. Love ya and hope that gelps.
