D-Day?

Is today the day? "D-Day" or "Delivery Day" as I like to call it, seems to be upon us.

Just sitting here in the hospital room...we received a huge blessing last night when Jo was admitted right away to the birthing suite. It was nice to kind of get settled, and so far the entire medical staff has been outstanding!

There is a pull-out couch in here for me to sleep on...it was nice to get a little snooze time, but we got a late start, and the nurse was in & out all night, and returned around 5 AM to get the IV's all set up. Right now there is a steady stream of Pitocin and Penicillin flowing, and the contractions are getting more and more regular, as well as intense.

The med staff is all upbeat, everyone thinks the baby's heartbeat looks great, and Johanna is progressing nicely for a first-timer. They are talking about "breaking her H2O" around lunchtime, and that should further stimulate the progress. Also, the likelihood of an epidural is increasing with each contraction.
